Province should offer support for renewable energy

It is incomprehensible and shocking to me that Christy Clark and her government sent two renewable energy companies out of this province

It is incomprehensible and shocking to me that Christy Clark and her government sent two renewable energy companies out of this province for lack of interest.

Both the EDP Renewables and the Canadian Wind Energy Association have left the province.

The world is trying to rely less on fossil fuels and use environmentally friendly energy sources, but not British Columbia. I realize we need some oil, but we should be trying to cut back on our dependence on it.

Recently, I heard the CEO of one of the oil companies moaning about having to lay off hundreds of employees. Perhaps if all these oil patch workers were put to work making affordable solar panels, wind turbines and investigating geothermal energy, it would help the earth and their finances.

People should vote for whom and what they believe in – not just for one person to get rid of another one.
