At the Man of Steel Triathlon and the Giant’s Head Run in Summerland on June 2, Salmon Arm claimed its share of honours.
In the males 11-13 category of the 30-km bike, 0.8-km swim and 10-km run triathlon, The Guys team, which included Salmon Arm’s Matthew Nesdoly as swimmer, along with cyclist Ryan White and runner James Huntington, claimed first in their category.
In the females 11 to 13 triathlon category, Team Pizza from Salmon Arm, consisting of cyclist Jana Huntington, swimmer Sandra Hall and runner Leah Nash, placed second.
In the 5.4-km Giant’s Head Run, it was a family affair. Salmon Arm’s Mike Hall placed sixth in the male 40 to 59 category; Diana Hall placed fifth in the female 35 to 54 category; Daniel Hall placed 11th in the boys 10 and under category; and Laura Hall claimed top spot in the female 10 and under category.
