Salmon Arm Minor Hockey product Curtis Lazar has signed on with the Ottawa Senators.
The NHL franchise announced Tuesday that they had signed Lazar, a first-round draft pick, to a three year, entry-level deal.
“We’re trying to get our best players tied up and he is certainly one of the guys of the future in this organization so we’re very, very happy to get him signed at this point,” states Senators general manager Bryan Murray on the team’s website. Lazar tweeted after the announcement that he was proud to sign with the Senators, and that he couldn’t have done it without his family, friends, coaches and teammates.
