National ringette action

The 2012 Tim Hortons Canadian ringette championships in Burnaby will include two teams with Salmon Arm players.

Teams hit the ice for opening day at the 2012 Tim Hortons Canadian ringette championships in Burnaby, including two teams with Salmon Arm players. In the U16 division, the Thompson-Okanagan Ringette League (TORL) got off to a strong start, defeating the Edmonton Elite 5-3, followed by a 4-3 overtime loss to Laurentides. The team includes forward Taigan Radomske, defenders Kairo Mair and Allison Bihari, goalie Tara MacMillan and assistant coach Cathy Lipsett. In the U19 national contest, Erika Lipsett is playing on the LMRL U19 Thunder. They began play Tuesday, with more games scheduled throughout the week.
