Ringette gets lucky in B.C. grant lotto

Three North Okanagan-Shuswap organizations, one of them from Salmon Arm, will share $58,825 in the latest round of gaming grants released by the provincial government.

Three North Okanagan-Shuswap organizations, one of them from Salmon Arm,  will share $58,825 in the latest round of gaming grants released by the provincial government.

Shuswap Ringette Association will receive $16,625, the Armstrong and District Curling Club gets $7,200 and the North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association will receive $35,000.

Across British Columbia, 246 recipients are sharing $6,097,629 in this latest round of grants from provincial gaming revenue. The grants are the third batch from provincial gaming revenue announced for the new fiscal year, which began on April 1.

Beneficiaries cover a broad range of community interests, including sports, arts and culture, festivals, and parent advisory and district parent advisory councils.
