Disappearing snow in the valley is deceiving, at Skmana there is a winter wonderland, great conditions for skiing and snowshoeing. The Shuswap Trail Alliance has been clearing new snowshoe trails and clearing an old unused ski trail at Skmana.
The club offers youth and senior introductory skill development sessions for all ages. Cross-country skiing is a full- body workout and fairly low impact on those joints. The Skmana Ski Club has collected some special items for a Silent Auction on Saturday, March 10 at 7 p.m. The event is open to everyone, a good opportunity to check out the club if you haven’t before.
