Skmana Ski Club offers skills training

Disappearing snow in the valley is deceiving, at Skmana there is a winter wonderland.

Disappearing snow in the valley is deceiving, at Skmana there is a winter wonderland, great conditions for skiing and snowshoeing. The Shuswap Trail Alliance has been clearing new snowshoe trails and clearing an old unused ski trail at Skmana.

The club offers youth and senior introductory skill development sessions for all ages. Cross-country skiing is a full- body workout and fairly low impact on those joints. Well-groomed trails are available for your enjoyment at Skmana of this fun-filled winter sport. Contact Brian David, skills development co-ordinator at 250-679-8377 to book your session.

If you need maintenance on your skis, call Darcy at 250-679-3951 to arrange your ski care. You’ll be amazed at the difference a tune-up makes.

The Skmana Ski Club has collected some special items for a Silent Auction on Saturday, March 10 at 7 p.m. The event is open to everyone, a good opportunity to check out the club if you haven’t before.
