A member of the Salmon Arm Ice Breakers speed skating club has had the honour of competing at the Canadian Short Track Championships held March 8 to 10 in Montreal, Que. Alyssa Skaalid placed third in the 500-metre semifinal during the event, which features some of the best skaters in Canada, ages 15 and up.
