The Salmon Arm Finch & Company Bantam Warriors won their second hockey tournament of the year in Winfield on Jan. 14-16.
The Warriors defeated the Westside Grizzlies, Merrit Centennials and Castlegar Jr. Rebels in the round-robin portion of the tournament to take first place in their pool. In the semifinals, the Warriors faced the Westside Wild, winning the game 5-3 to advance to the final game against the Summerland Jets who were also undefeated to that point.
In a closely matched final, the Warriors dug down deep, winning the game 4-2 to become the tournament champs capturing the tournament championship trophy. Congratulations go to the Salmon Arm Warriors Daniel Atsma, Eric Brock, Travis Bruce, Jeremy Dewick, Cameron Graham, Stephen Kooistra, Riley Inskip, Chris Kovacs, Rory Marshall, Adam New, Bryce Sandau, Cody Stepura and Jacob Yule.
