The Salmon Arm Tennis Club will be welcoming teams from throughout the Interior when it hosts the 2023 National Bank/Tennis BC Interior Team Tennis Playoffs.

Men’s and women’s tennis teams from the Interior will be competing in the event on July 8 and 9 at the Salmon Arm Tennis Club, located at 3440 Okanagan Ave. SE.

Club vice-president and tournament director Marianne VanBuskirk is thrilled Salmon Arm was chosen to host the high-profile event where competitors will be competing for a berth at the National Bank/Tennis BC Provincials, Aug. 18-20 in the Lower Mainland.

Community partners and sponsors for the upcoming playoffs are Askew’s Foods, National Bank and Tennis BC with some prizes and team “loot” donated by Salmon Arm Economic Development Society and funded by the Municipal & Regional District Tax Program.

“The Salmon Arm Tennis Club is appreciative of the overwhelming support for this event, and would also like to thank the club membership for welcoming visiting teams!” said VanBuskirk.

Playoff matches are on Saturday, July 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Sunday, July 9, from 9:30 to 5 p.m. All are welcome to stop by and watch the action.
